St. Jacob, Illinois, a charming village just 30 minutes East of St. Louis is gearing up for one of their biggest annual events – the St. Jacob Homecoming festival. This family-friendly event celebrates the community of St. Jacob, its people, and the businesses that make it more than just a special place to visit, that make it a home.

Family Night Carnival

Festivities begin the evening of Thursday, July 18, 2018, with the Family Night Carnival. Families can purchase tickets at the time of the carnival or pre-purchase them at the Village Hall and enjoy two-for-one ride pricing, carnival games, and tasty treats the kids are sure to crow about.

Guaranteed to be a night of fun for the entire family!

Homecoming Celebration

The Homecoming celebration gets into full swing on Friday, July 20, 2018, with rides and games opening to the public at 5:00 PM and carrying merrymakers into the night until 11:30 PM. Visitors are welcome to enjoy delicious fair food, live music provided by the Black Top Boulevard Band, and the first of the festival parades, which begins at 7:00 PM.

The fun continues on Saturday, July 21st with a Bags tournament beginning at 10:30. The carnival officially opens at 5:00 PM and runs through 11:30 PM with live music provided by Johnny Rock-itt and the Double Wide Symphony to the raucous delight of fans.

A second community-sponsored parade begins at 6:30 PM.

Both nights of the official Homecoming festival provide visitors with the opportunity to enjoy a variety of activities including:

  • Music and dancing from 8:00 PM – 12:00 AM
  • Bingo games
  • Raffles with fun, valuable prizes
  • Rides
  • Food
  • Games
  • Fun!
