The 2025 Mazda CX-90 lets you experience luxury without shelling out big bucks. It offers fun-to-drive powertrains, a clean and well-crafted interior, and premium tech to keep you connected. Here are some reasons we love the new CX-90.
1. High-Performance Powertrains
The CX-90 features a mild hybrid powertrain that pairs a 3.3L turbo inline 6 engine with a small electric motor. This powertrain has a solid output of 280 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque. The electric motor helps the engine run efficiently, allowing the CX-90 to achieve 24 mpg city and 28 mpg highway.
A higher-output version of the 3.3L turbo engine is available. It amps up the power to a maximum of 340 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. Both powertrains come standard with an 8-speed automatic transmission and a rear-biased all-wheel-drive system, so more power goes to the rear wheels to help with traction and stability.
2. Flexible Three-Row Cabin
Inside, there’s a roomy three-row cabin with a usable third row. With 41.7 inches of legroom up front and 39.4 inches in the second row, grown-ups can stretch out and relax. The rear row has 30.4 inches of legroom, which is plenty for kids to ride comfortably. Most models seat eight passengers, but there are seven-seater options with second-row Captain’s chairs for more comfort.
The cabin flexes easily, making it easy to maximize space for passengers or cargo. With all the seats up, you’ll have 15.9 cubic feet for your cargo. This increases to 40.1 cubic feet behind the second row and 75.2 cubic feet behind the first row. Both rear rows have 60/40 split-folding seats, so you can fold one side to fit longer items without giving up all the passenger space.
3. Ample Comfort Amenities
The CX-90 is outfitted with leatherette seats, which can be optioned with Nappa leather on top trims. It also comes with a leather-wrapped steering wheel, an 8-way power driver’s seat, and three-zone automatic climate control. All models except the base get heated front seats and a 4-way power passenger seat. Top trims step up the comfort with heated second-row seats, ventilated front seats, and a heated steering wheel.
4. Premium Tech and Safety
An intuitive 10.25-inch full-color display stands out at the center of the dash. It runs on the Mazda Connect infotainment system, so you’ll get features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, HD Radio, and natural voice recognition. An AM/FM audio system with 8 speakers is also standard, while a 12-speaker Bose system is available.
The CX-90 is also equipped with advanced safety tech to keep you safe on the road. An automatic emergency braking system comes as standard equipment, along with adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, and lane departure warning.
