City cruising is fun with the CX-30’s standard 2.5L four-cylinder engine. It produces a robust 191 hp and 186 lb-ft to provide swift acceleration when merging into traffic or overtaking. The engine features Mazda’s SKYACTIV technology, which kicks into action when you push the pedal and uses a high compression ratio to extract more energy from each drop of fuel. To manage power delivery, a SKYACTIV 6-speed automatic transmission offers rapid gear shifts and direct power delivery.
Upgrading to one of the three turbo trim levels will amplify the CX-30’s performance with a 2.5L turbocharged four-cylinder engine. The powerplant produces 227 hp and 310 lb-ft on regular fuel, and 250 hp and 320 lb-ft on 93 octane fuel. In its most performance-focused configuration, the CX-30 boasts an impressive 0 to 60 mph time of 5.8 seconds and is rated to complete the quarter-mile run in 14.3 seconds.
Excellent Fuel Economy
Both engines achieve excellent EPA fuel economy estimates, with the standard non-turbocharged version recording an impressive EPA-estimated 26 mpg city, 33 mpg highway, and 29 mpg combined. The punchier turbocharged engine follows closely behind with its SKYACTIV technology delivering an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 22 mpg city, 25 mpg highway, and 30 mpg combined. The CX-30’s SKYACTIV body and chassis design uses special alloys to reduce the vehicle’s curb weight to 3,527 lbs, further improving the power-to-weight ratio and fuel economy.
Prestigious Comfort
The CX-30 offers well-cushioned bucket front seats with 41.7 inches of legroom and reclining rear seats with 36.3 inches of legroom. The MAZDA CONNECT Infotainment System features an 8.8-inch touchscreen on the leatherette-upholstered dashboard. High-quality materials cover much of the cabin, such as leatherette door trim inserts and carpet floor trim. You can go all out with the Turbo Premium Plus trim and enjoy heated premium leather front seats, a heated leather steering wheel, and an upgraded 10.3-inch infotainment screen.
Full Driver Assistance Suite
Piloting the compact SUV is convenient as much as it is fun, owing to the strong suite of driver-assistive features.
